PARIS -- Paris sophomore quarterback Quez Allen and sophomore running back Dren Rollerson led the Wildcats to a 41-20 victory over the Atlanta Rabbits on Friday night in the District 13-3A opener for both teams.

Allen passed for 151 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for 158 yards and a score. Meanwhile, Rollerson rushed for 134 yards and accounted for three touchdowns in the win, which ended a three-game losing skid for Paris.

Paris (2-4, 1-0) scored on the opening drive when Allen connected with senior Kenny Mason for a 54-yard touchdown pass, and the Wildcats never trailed from there. They led 13-3 at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 28-10 by halftime.

Atlanta (3-3, 0-1) threatened in the third quarter by scoring 10 points, including a 59-yard scamper by quarterback Chase Musgrove.

But the Wildcats quelled the threat early in the fourth quarter when Allen scored on an 18-yard run to make the score 35-20.

Paris officially put the game away by capping an 11-play, 97-yard drive with 3:08 remaining when Rollerson reached the end zone on a 10-yard run.

Musgrove finished with 82 rushing yards for Atlanta. He also completed 9 of 23 passes for 113 yards and an interception. Eddrick King also scored a touchdown for the Rabbits.
