JACKSONVILLE -- Ryan Taylor rushed for 285 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries Friday as the Lindale Eagles spoiled Jacksonville's homecoming with a 38-15 win at the Tomato Bowl.

Eagles receiver Tayton Williams caught a pair of touchdowns and ran for another as part of a 102-yard all-purpose yard night.

The win was Lindale's first in district, improving their overall record to 2-4.

Jacksonville (3-3, 0-3) had two touchdowns erased by penalties, both of which Lindale turned into touchdowns on the ensuing possessions.

Indians quarterback Carter McCown was hurried all night en route to rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He completed 8 of 23 passes for 131 yards and was intercepted twice.

It was the first game this season where he failed to throw a touchdown.

Jamoderick Taylor finished with 18 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Jacksonville is at home against Nacogdoches next Friday.
