LINDALE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats earned a 55-45 win over Lindale in the District 16-5A opener on Friday night.

LUFKIN -- Whitehouse clinched the third playoff spot in District 16-5A with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-10 win against Lufkin. The victory gave the Ladycats an 8-4 record within the district and a final regular season record of 20-19. They will face District 15-5A runner-up Longview next week at a time, date and site to be coordinated between the two schools later this week.
