Tuesday Basketball Roundup: Chapel Hill Girls Get Big Win Over Pine Tree + More
LONGVIEW -- April Walker and Mykaela Alfred turned in double-digit performances to help Chapel Hill of Class 4A defeat a larger school Pine Tree team, 41-45, Tuesday at the Pirate Center.
Walker scored a team-best 16 points. Alfred added another 15 points for the winning side.
Marissa Gary netted 11 points for Pine Tree (6-2) in the loss.
Chapel Hill (7-1) will be back in action next Tuesday to host Edgewood. Pine Tree simultaneously will travel to Nacogdoches.
Grace Pounds Arp
TYLER -- Three Tyler Grace Community players reached double digits to Arp's one in a 70-30 Lady Cougars' victory ahead of the Thanksgiving break.
Addie Daughtry and Jordan Tauscher tied for a game-best 22 points for Grace (5-2). Reagan Wilson connected for another 11 points.
Brianna Medlock led Arp (2-2) with 11 points.
Grace will travel to Carthage next Tuesday. Arp also resumes play next Tuesday at Gilmer.

Coldspring-Oakhurst Outlasts Slocum
COLDSPRING -- Coldspring-Oakhurst remained undefeated with a 52-39 win against Slocum.
Jacoby Bishop led Coldspring-Oakhurst (2-0) with 16 points. Ed Levi, who scored 11 points, tied for the game's second-best point total alongside Slocum's Alex Maldonado.
Slocum (4-3) will try to bounce back next Tuesday when it hosts Douglass.
