Tuesday Volleyball Roundup: Whitehouse, Carthage Earn Sweeps To Stay Unbeaten In District + More

JACKSONVILLE -- The Whitehouse LadyCats remained unbeaten in District 16-5A with a 25-8, 25-8, 25-10 sweep of Jacksonville on Tuesday night.

Ashton Ates led Whitehouse (22-10, 5-0) with 11 kills to go along with four aces. Megan Harris and Kelly Keller finished with nine and eight kills, respectively, Beth Hood registered five blocks, Amanda Dimon provided 17 digs, Ronnie Fountain dished out 26 assists, and Brooke Lindsey served up three aces.

Whitehouse resumes its season Friday at Lufkin.

Carthage Cruises Past Henderson

HENDERSON -- The Carthage Lady Dawgs improved to 3-0 in District 19-4A after a 25-8, 25-19, 25-21 sweep of rival Henderson on Tuesday.

Marisah Ingram, who has committed to UTSA, led the way for Carthage with 18 kills and five blocks. Alli Capps added eight kills and eight digs, Kamry Smith finished with seven kills, Kenzie Templeton assisted on 36 points, and Kaitlyn Nutt had a team-high 15 digs.

Carthage returns to action next Tuesday at Tatum.

Van Sweeps Past Brownsboro

BROWNSBORO -- The Van Lady Vandals remained unbeaten in District 14-4A with a 25-10, 25-13, 25-23 sweep of Brownsboro on Tuesday.

Bri Thompson and Hallee Carter led the way with 11 kills apiece. McKenna Daniel dished out 27 assists, while Thompson and Jasiee Harris combined for 25 digs.

Van (24-9, 2-0) returns to the court next Tuesday at home against Emory Rains

Winona Rolls To Sweep Of Grand Saline

WINONA -- The Winona Ladycats took down Grand Saline, 25-21, 25-15, 25-17, on Tuesday night in District 14-2A action.

Kawaii Gordon led the way with 14 kills. Bailey Daniels finished with 15 assists, Alexis Hernandez assisted on 13 points, and Janeth Tarango racked up 12 digs.

Winona is at Quitman on Friday.

Troup Outlasts Frankston

FRANKSTON -- The Troup Lady Tigers outlasted Frankston in five games Tuesday, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 14-25, 15-7, in District 18-2A action.

Josee Ross had a monster night for Troup (18-13, 5-1) with 28 kills to go along with 19 digs, four aces and two blocks. Caitlyn Vickers added eight kills, a team-high 21 assists, 12 digs and two aces, Madison Hampton had seven digs and 14 digs, Lana Ledford contributed 19 assists, 13 digs and five aces, Kyndal Martin had five kills and a pair of digs, and Makayla Krueger chipped in with two kills, three blocks, nine digs and two aces.

Troup is back in action Saturday at West Rusk.

Beckville Scores Easy Win Over Leverett's Chapel

BECKVILLE -- Beckville rolled to a 25-5, 25-6, 25-5 sweep of Leverett's Chapel in District 20-2A play Tuesday night.

Carson Blair paced Beckville (25-4, 3-0) with 10 kills, four digs and seven aces. Carley Lawhorn added nine kills, five digs, one block and one ace, Natalie Morris produced five kills and an ace, Kassidy Alexander finished with 19 assists, three kills and four digs, and Madi Mize registered 11 assists to go along with five digs.

Beckville's season continues at home Friday against Timpson.
