WHITEHOUSE -- The Corsicana Tigers earned a 44-40 win over Whitehouse in District 16-5A action Tuesday night at Wildcat Arena.

Chris Beachum led the way for Corsicana (11-13, 2-4) with 15 points. Carlos Tovias added 14 points, while Tyler Donaldson finished with 10 points.

Whitehouse (16-8, 2-3) was led in defeat by Javier Neal, who poured in a game-high 18 points. McKade Marquis had nine points, while Ryan Walls chipped in with eight in the loss.

The Wildcats are back in action Friday at Jacksonville, while Corsicana's next game is Jan. 26 at home against Jacksonville.

 

Carthage Downs Rusk

CARTHAGE -- The Carthage Bulldogs took a 75-58 win over Rusk in District 19-4A action Tuesday night.

Rusk (16-8, 0-2) was led in defeat by PJ Tilley, who finished with 15 points. Daron Neal added 14 points, while Jacquez Cook chipped in with 11 points.

Each teams returns to action Friday. The Eagles host Center, while Carthage plays at Tatum.

 

Harmony Overcomes Quitman

HARMONY -- The Harmony Eagles recorded a 54-46 defeat of Quitman on Tuesday in District 14-3A action.

Dalton Brenner paced Harmony (11-9, 2-4) with 14 points. Bentley Miner contributed 13 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, while Waymon Lay added 12 points.

Quitman (1-5 in 14-3A) got a game-high 17 points from River Asmussen in the loss. Garrett Taylor scored 15 points, which included a pair of 3-pointers.

Both teams are back in action Friday night. Harmony travels to Winnsboro, while Quitman plays host to Winona.

 

No. 18 Waskom Crushes New Diana

WASKOM -- The 18th-ranked Waskom Wildcats rolled to a 91-53 win over New Diana in District 17-3A competition Tuesday night.

Kaleb Haynes poured in 31 points to lead Waskom (7-5, 2-0). Eric Stephens III knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 22 points, while Keileon Johnson added 16 points in the win.

Waskom returns to the court Friday at White Oak.

 

No. 7 San Augustine Routs Pineywoods

LUFKIN -- The seventh-ranked San Augustine Wolves cruised to a 73-47 victory over Lufkin Pineywoods Academy in District 23-2A action Tuesday night.

Ced Thomas led San Augustine (16-3) with 17 points. Chris Rodgers wasn't far behind, finishing with 16 points. Q. Borders added 10 points, while Zavonte Garrett pulled down 15 rebounds.

The Wolves' season continues Friday at home against Zavalla.

Bullard Grabs Big Win Over Chapel Hill

BULLARD -- The No. 21 Bullard Lady Panthers registered a 63-42 defeat of Chapel Hill in District 16-4A action Tuesday night.

Lexi Kirgan enjoyed a big night for Bullard (21-5, 3-1) with 27 points, while Lauren Zachry hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.

Chapel Hill (18-8, 2-2) was led in defeat by Mykaela Alfred and April Walker, who scored 10 points apiece.

Each team returns to the floor Friday night. Bullard plays at Kilgore, while Chapel Hill hosts Gladewater.

 

Winona Takes Down Grand Saline

WINONA -- The Winona Ladycats picked up a 49-42 win over Grand Saline in District 14-3A action Tuesday.

Daysha Hanson sparked Winona (15-7, 5-3) with 22 points, seven rebounds, and eight steals. Mallori Shacklett added 10 points, seven boards, two assists, and a block, while Makayla Champion chipped in with eight points, eight rebounds, six blocks, and two steals.

Both teams are back in action Friday. Winona plays at Quitman, while Grand Saline entertains Mineola.

 

Eustace Blows Past Mildred

EUSTACE -- The Eustace Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 54-16 rout of Corsicana Mildred on Tuesday night in District 18-3A action.

Sydnee Wynn led Eustace (17-7, 7-1) with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks. Gabi Corder also filled the stat sheet with nine points, eight boards, six blocks, and four steals.

Eustace returns to action Friday at home against Arp.

 

Beckville Edges Timpson

BECKVILLE -- The Beckville Ladycats took a 26-22 win over Timpson in District 22-2A action Tuesday.

Madi Mize paced Beckville (9-8, 1-3) with 14 points and five rebounds.

Beckville returns to the court Friday at Tenaha.

 

Tyler Grace Overpowers Bishop Gorman

TYLER -- The Tyler Grace Lady Cougars rolled to a 53-15 win over crosstown rival Tyler Bishop Gorman on Tuesday in TAPPS District 2-4A competition.

Parker Daughtry led the way with 16 points, which included a pair of 3-pointers.

Each teams' season resumes Friday. Grace plays at Brighter Horizons, while Gorman travels to Bullard Brook Hill.
