PORTER -- Henderson senior quarterback Zane Boles rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Lions to a 36-20 win over West Columbia in their Class 4A Division I Region III area-round playoff Saturday at Texan Drive Stadium.

Henderson (10-2) will face Jasper (9-3) next week in the regional semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday from Lufkin's Abe Martin Stadium, while West Columbia ended its season at 10-2.

Boles ran 16 times and scored on runs of 4, 9 and 45 yards. Senior running back Randy Davis added 101 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries as Henderson piled up 360 yards of offense -- 355 on the ground.

West Columbia was led by quarterback Jarius Keese, who ran for 127 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He also completed 6 of 9 passes for 123 yards. Dakarius Bell added 96 yards and two touchdowns on 23 rushing attempts.

Trailing 13-8, Boles' 4-yard touchdown run and Davis' two-point conversion gave the LIons a 16-13 they carried into halftime.

Henderson then rattled off 20 consecutive points to take control. Boles' scoring runs of 9 and 45 yards and a 14-yard touchdown from Davis increased Henderson's lead to 36-13 with 4:46 remaining.
