Henderson junior receiver Trestan Ebner is currently committed to SMU, but a school from the SEC just entered the pursuit for the Lions' standout.

Ebner (5-11, 180) tweeted that he received an offer from Arkansas on Monday evening.

Arkansas became the second school from a Power 5 conference to extend a scholarship offer to Ebner, who also holds an offer from Kansas of the Big 12.

Ebner became the first player to commit to SMU in the 2017 class back in December.

Arkansas, which is coached by Bret Bielema, was 8-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play last season, ending the year with a 45-23 win over Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2.

The Razorbacks signed fellow East Texan Micahh Smith, a Marshall defensive back, on Feb. 3 of this year.

Arkansas has three offers out to East Texans in the 2017 class. In addition to Ebner, the Razorbacks have targeted Liberty-Eylau DE and Texas commit Lagaryonn Carson and Hooks WR Montrell Estell.

Ebner helped Henderson to a 7-3 finish in 2015. The Lions missed out on the playoffs despite tying for the final playoff berth out of District 9-4A Division I, but ended the regular season with a 30-10 win over the league's first-place finisher, Kilgore.

Henderson will once again compete in 9-4A D-I on 2016, along with Bullard, Carthage, Center, Chapel HIll, Kilgore, and Palestine.

Ebner, like all current junior prospects, can officially sign with the college of their choosing on Feb. 1, 2017.
