MESQUITE -- Longview outhit Mesquite Horn on Tuesday night, but fell 7-4 in a District 12-5A baseball matchup.

Longview gained a 9-8 hits advantage thanks to multi-hit nights from Tre Allen, Spencer Barton, and Dezmond Chumley, who went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Allen and Barton each went 2-for-4.

Barton needed only 65 pitches to toss a complete game. Reid Russell had one hit and one RBI.

Ross Himes Sends Tyler Lee to 5-4 Win

TYLER -- Ross Himes' two-run walk-off single lifted Tyler Lee to a 5-4 victory against Rockwall in Tuesday night's District 12-5A matchup.

J.D. Cobb started for the Red Raiders and allowed one run on six hits with nine strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. The win moved Lee to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in district, while Rockwall fell to 16-5, 2-2.

Hallsville's Connor Reich No-Hits Marshall

MARSHALL -- Sophomore pitcher Connor Reich dealt a no-hitter Tuesday night in Hallsville's 9-0 shutout at Marshall.

The victory moved Hallsville to 16-2 overall and 1-0 in District 14-4A.

Hallsville's Austin Blakeley, Andy Guinea, and Jacob Walker had two hits apiece.

Nacogdoches Edges Jacksonville

NACOGDOCHES -- Nacogdoches opened District 16-4A play with a 3-2 win against Jacksonville on Tuesday night.

Nacogdoches hosts Corsicana on Friday. Jacksonville hosts Whitehouse.

Pine Tree Shuts Out Texas High

LONGVIEW -- John Cravey pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Pine Tree to a 2-0 District 14-4A victory Tuesday night against Texas High.

Cravey's one-hit effort overshadowed a great game from Texas High pitcher Ryan Fant, who held Pine Tree to two hits.

Pine Tree's Christopher Chadwick hit a solo home run and Spencer Anderson knocked in Mason Liu to account for the Pirates' two runs.

Carthage Run-Rules Pollok Central

POLLOK -- William Rittenberry tossed a two-hit shutout to lead Carthage to a 10-0 five-inning win at Pollok Central in Tuesday's District 20-3A matchup.

Rittenberry improved to 3-1 as he struck out nine and walked none. The win was Carthage's seventh in a row and pushed the Bulldogs, who had six extra-base hits, to 15-4 overall and 2-1 in district play.

Carthage's Jack Morris doubled twice and drove in two runs, while JayDon Day was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Beaux Guilbeau went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Kolby Blissett and Tyler Musgrove each went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Brody Colle added a double.

District-leading Lufkin Hudson visits Carthage at 7 p.m. Friday night. Carthage hosts its next six 20-3A games.

Ryan Browning Leads Mineola Past Van

VAN -- Ryan Browning had a big night at the plate and on the mound in Mineola's 11-1 six-inning win at Van in Tuesday night's District 15-3A meeting.

Browning singled three times and drove in three runs while pitching six strong innings to get the win.

Mineola's Tino Elias had three hits and two RBIs. Teammate Garrett Woods added two singles.

Mabank Scores in Seventh to Down Brownsboro

MABANK -- The Mabank Panthers scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 4-3 win over Brownsboro on Tuesday in District 15-3A action.

The loss spoiled a solid outing on the mound by Brownsboro's Raul Gutierrez, who allowed no earned runs on two hits with eight strikeouts and four walks in 5 1/3 innings. He also reached base twice at the plate, once on a first-inning triple.

With the Bears (11-5, 0-1) trailing by a run in the top of the seventh, Gutierrez scored the game-tying run on an error.

Stephen Calliet got the win for Mabank, allowing three runs and six hits in seven innings with nine strikeouts and four walks.

Brownsboro is back in action Friday at home against Mineola.

Luke Tebbetts Pitches Winnsboro By Lone Oak

WINNSBORO -- Luke Tebbetts struck out 15 in a complete-game shutout of Lone Oak, 1-0, Tuesday night in District 14-2A action.

Jake McMillan went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Winnsboro, while Tebbetts and Josh Boone each had a hit in the win.

Carlisle's Shadow Sanders No-Hits Leverett's Chapel

PRICE -- Shadow Sanders struck out 11 and walked one in his five-inning no-hitter that sparked Carlisle to a 10-0 win Tuesday night against Leverett's Chapel.

Sanders, who hits leadoff, went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored, while Clay Allphin homered, drove in three runs, and scored twice. Ben Goss singled twice and knocked in three runs. Kolton Heim was 3-for-3 with a double.

Carlisle's Zach Brightwell singled once and scored twice. Gunner Baker had one RBI. The Indians outhit Leverett's Chapel 11-0. Neither team committed an error.

The win moved Carlisle to 12-0 overall and 5-0 in District 20-A competition. Carlisle visits Gary at 6 p.m. Friday.

Blake White, Tyler Grace Edge Tyler All Saints

TYLER -- Blake White's RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning sent Tyler Grace to a 2-1 win over TAPPS District 2-4A rival Tyler All Saints on Tuesday.

All Saints took a 1-0 in the sixth inning when Rock Caruso scored on an error. Grace answered in the bottom half of the inning on Jacob Spitzer's RBI double.

Jacob Wadle got the win on the mound for Grace after working three scoreless innings of relief. He allowed one hit, struck out two and walked one. Starting pitcher Canaan Klaassen went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts and five walks.

White, Spitzer and Call Florence all had two hits for Grace.

All Saints starting pitcher William Young allowed one run on three hits with six strikeouts and two walks in 6 2/3 innings.
