Carlisle Rolls to 12-0 Win in Game 1 Against McLeod

TATUM -- Zach Brightwell went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, leading Carlisle past McLeod 12-0 in five innings in Game 1 of their Class A Region III area playoff best-of-three series on Friday.

Ben Goss had three RBIs, while Caleb Colley drove in two for Carlisle (22-1).

Gunner Baker and Brightwell teamed up for the one-hit shutout. Baker (11-0) allowed the hit and struck out six in four innings, while Brightwell struck out two in his one inning of work.

The series continues with Game 2 at 1 p.m. Saturday in Tatum. If a third game is necessary, it will follow.
