ARP -- Jordan Tauscher continued her impressive early season debut for Tyler Grace Community with a team-best 25 points in a 66-42 win at Arp.
NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season with a 84-58 win over Henderson on Monday.
TROUP -- Troup's Jerad Jackson put up 21 points to lead three Tigers in double digits, but White Oak escaped their home gym with a 60-47 season-opening win.
Nike Simmons led the way for the Roughnecks, who have a handful of players unavailable due to the high school football playoffs. Justin Benson and Landry Sheridan also reached double digits with 10 points each.
WINONA -- Nichole Garrett paced Winona with 24 points and seven rebounds in a 55-36 win against Rusk.
Garrett wasn't the only player with big numbers for the Lady Wildcats (3-0) though.
Lexi Lacy put up 15 points and Mallori Shacklett rounded out the top three for Winona with nine points...
As expected, Class 6A will gain three more teams from East Texas, as John Tyler, Longview, and Lufkin are headed up from 5A.
NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs remained unbeaten on the young season with a 74-21 rout of Shelbyville on Thursday.
NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Lady Bulldogs needed every one of Daija Maddox's 25 points to get past Tyler Lee, 58-56, Tuesday in New Chapel Hill.
Maddox hit the game's lone 3-pointer in addition to leading all players in scoring.
FRANKSTON -- Addie Daughtry, Parker Daughty and Jordan Tauscher all reached double digits Thursday to help Tyler Grace Community past Frankston, 62-45, on the road.
A 20-point third quarter helped the Lady Cougars (2-0) get the separation they needed. The Lady Indians (0-1) led 15-14 after the first quarter and were down just 28-26 at the break.
