Henderson senior quarterback Zane Boles enjoyed a tremendous final season with the Lions, leading Henderson to its first district title since 2000 and a berth in the Class 4A Division I regional finals.

And on Thursday morning, Boles picked up his first two collegiate offers. Henderson quarterback coach and recruiting coordinator Matt Combs confirmed to ETSN.fm that Boles (6-5, 205) was offered by Lamar and Henderson State.

Boles was voted the Most Valuable Player of District 9-4A Division I, and was instrumental in the Lions' lengthy playoff run.

For the year, Boles passed for 1,627 yards and 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,184 yards and 19 more scores. Henderson was eliminated by eventual state champion Navasota, 34-14, in the 4A D-I Region III championship game.

Lamar is an Division I FCS program that competes in the Southland Conference. The Cardinals were 8-4 overall and 5-3 in league play last season.

Henderson State, located in Arkadelphia, Ark., competes in Division II as a member of the Great American Conference. The Reddies were 9-2 overall and 8-2 in conference action in 2014.
