Kansas State Offers Canton’s Samuel Miller

It's getting better and better for Samuel Miller.

Kansas State offered the Canton defensive end Thursday, according to a post on Twitter.

The Wildcats became Miller's 10th scholarship opportunity and have given him his first shot to play in the Big 12.

Kansas State usually puts together a scrappy team and causes headaches for its conference opposition under legendary head coach Bill Snyder. It finished the 2013 season with an 8-5 record after recovering from a 2-4 start, including a blowout win against Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

None of the Wildcats' five losses came by more than 10 points.

Defense is a specialty in Manhattan, Kan. The 2013 unit ranked 45th in the nation despite facing the likes of Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Kansas State's offer to Miller is its first to any Class of 2015 member in East Texas.

As a junior, Miller (6-3, 220) shined on the defensive side of the ball with 89 tackles, 26 of the tackles for loss, as well as four sacks and three forced fumbles. His play helped spur Canton recover from an 0-4 start and reach the postseason.

He also doubles as a tight end for Canton.

Miller's recruitment might begin to snowball. He picked up an offer from Arkansas State on Wednesday.

He visited Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday, a school that has already presented him with a scholarship.
