Colin Jeter was one of four Longview Lobos to announce his college commitment this weekend.

Jeter, who started at tight end for the Lobos, committed to Air Force, according to Longview coach John King.

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Jeter caught six passes for 77 yards and one touchdown as a senior, when he was a key blocker in Longview's run-based offense. Jeter and the Lobo offensive line blocked for backs that rushed for 212.5 yards per game.

Jeter picked Air Force over fellow Division I FBS program Texas State and Division I FCS programs Sam Houston State and Northwestern State, which is King's alma mater. Air Force competes in the Mountain West Conference.

Jeter is ranked No. 21 on the latest ETSN 25 recruiting rankings. Jeter was recently selected to the ETSN.fm Football Super Team First Team. He is the second East Texan in the 2013 class to commit to Air Force, joining Henderson offensive lineman Nick Siler.

Longview finished the 2012 season 9-4 with a Class 5A Division II Region II semifinal appearance.
