DAINGERFIELD -- It was another heartbreaker for Daingerfield, which dropped its 11th of 12 straight regular season games Friday in a 44-28 loss to Malakoff.

Daingerfield (0-2) led 21-13 at halftime and then got outscored 31-7 in the game's final 24 minutes.

Malakoff (2-0) started to gain the edge early in the half with two fourth down conversions before quarterback Judd Miller found pay dirt and Dylan Grimm ran in the two-point conversion.

The two teams traded touchdowns from that point.

Malakoff took a stranglehold on the game when Q.T. Barker scored his second kickoff return touchdown of the night. A.J. Cook gave the team a 14-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

Daingerfield lost two fumbles in the first half. Malakoff committed four turnovers in the same timespan.

Malakoff will host Kerens on Friday. Daingerfield will simultaneously try to get into the win column on the road against a tough Atlanta team.
