Mansfield Lake Ridge Ousts Lindale from Class 4A Volleyball Playoffs

FORNEY -- Mansfield Lake Ridge overcame a huge night from Lindale's Zhanelle Geathers to knock out the Lady Eagles 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21 in Tuesday's Class 4A Region II bi-district volleyball playoff.

Geathers had 21 kills and 10 blocks to lead Lindale, which finishes the 2012 season with a 26-11 record. Sydney Tiiman had 43 assists and six digs for Lindale, which got nine kills and three blocks from Savannah Cantrell.

Mansfield advances to play Wylie in the area round. Wylie swept Hallsville on Tuesday.
