BULLARD -- Van had victory within its grasp late in Monday's battle with Bullard.

Hannah Lloyd changed that. She hit a game-tying 3-pointer with six seconds in regulation to force overtime and the Lady Panthers (9-1) cruised in overtime for a 70-63 win after a 58-58 game at the end of regulation.

Lexi Kirgan scored a game-best 28 points in the 37-minute game. Maddy Slayter and Kristen Chamberlain rounded out Bullard's double-digit scorers with 15 and 10 points respectively.

The Lady Panthers will turn around and host Whitehouse today. Van is off until after the Thanksgiving break.

 

Henderson + Chapel Hill Put On Offensive Show

HENDERSON -- The Lady Lions and Chapel Hill combined for 108 points in their 32-minute game Monday, a 57-51 win for Henderson.

Nakia McElhanon scored a team-best 17 points for the Lady Lions (4-1) and Joy Williams was just behind with six points.

McElhanon also recorded a very impressive 15 rebounds. Ja'Keyah Stewart picked up eight points, seven assists and four points in the win.

Chapel Hill was led by Princess Suell's 19 points. Kadeja Warfield scored 10 points.

Henderson will visit Jacksonville on Saturday. Chapel Hill will stay on the road and battle Wills Point on Wednesday.

 

Beckville Falls To Hawkins

HAWKINS -- The Lady Hawks overcame a slow start in the first quarter to down Beckville, 40-28.

Hawkins shot 80 percent in the win and considerably higher in the second through fourth quarters after only putting up four points in the first frame.

Alisha Taylor led the Lady Hawks with 19 points. Kimber Wesner scored a Beckville-best 10 points in the loss.

 

Cayuga Wins Big On The Boards

CAYUGA -- Aly Jenkins picked up a double-double and Cayuga rolled past Scurry-Rosser in a 58-41 win.

The Ladycats had three players with at least nine rebounds in Monday's win. Kathleen Lack put up nine points and nine rebounds and Brittney Longmiles had nine boards and seven points.

Jenkins scored 14 points in the win. Madison Spears recorded a team-best 17 points.

Lindale Rides Laettner Greenhill To Win Over Tyler Grace

LINDALE -- Strong bench play and Christian Laettner's leading 25 points allowed the Eagles to build a comfortable lead and cruise to the finish line in a 62-43 win against Tyler Grace Community.

Laettner turned in great numbers all over the stat sheet. He hit three of three shots from behind the arc and was four of five from the free throw line.

De Jackson and Jordan Gray each contributed eight points to the cause to round out Lindale's top performers.

Grace was led by Nic Forman. He had 16 points.

Caleb Culver and Garrett Tauscher turned in 13 and nine points apiece for the Cougars.

 

Cayuga Mows Over Elkhart

ELKHART -- Three Cayuga players reached double digits and the Wildcats defeated Elkhart 60-32.

Seth Bowman had 15 points in the win, James Kappus had 14 and Jacob Grasch recorded 13.

Grasch hit two 3-point shots for Cayuga (1-1). Kappus hit another shot from behind the arc.

Cayuga will host Douglass today. Elkhart (0-2) also will be in action tonight at New Summerfield.
