New Football Coach to Be Presented to Whitehouse ISD School Board on Monday
WHITEHOUSE — The new head football coach at Whitehouse High School will be presented during the Whitehouse ISD board meeting on Monday, according to athletic director Richard Peacock.
Peacock said six candidates were interviewed after 66 coaches sent in classifications.
The new coach will replace Randy McFarlin, whose contract was not renewed after nine seasons at the helm. He went 59-43, including three 10-win seasons, something the program had never accomplished in its history once.
Whitehouse finished 10-2 last season with a trip to the Class 4A Division II area playoffs. The nucleus of the team returns in 2013, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and linebacker Reggie Long.
