NEW LONDON -- Alto junior quarterback Keenen Johnson rushed for 299 yards and six touchdowns in the seventh-ranked Yellowjackets' 65-29 rout of Ore City in their Class 2A Division I Region III area-round playoff Friday night at Bruce Bradshaw Stadium.

CONROE -- The top-ranked Navsota Rattlers scored 21 consecutive points in the first six minutes of the third quarter to create separation in a 49-28 win over Chapel Hill in their Class 4A Division I Region III area-round playoff Friday night at Moorhead Stadium.

MESQUITE -- The third-ranked Gilmer Buckeyes rolled to an 80-21 rout of Waco Connally in their Class 4A Division II Region II area-round playoff Friday night at E.H. Hanby Stadium.

TYLER -- The Marshall Mavericks never found an answer for Dallas South Oak Cliff's dynamic duo of running back Jordan Stevenson and receiver JF Thomas. And they were the difference Friday night.

ROYSE CITY -- Liberty-Eylau scored 22 points in the final 2:43 of the first half, and forced five turnovers in a 49-36 win over Carrollton Ranchview in their Class 4A Division I Region II area playoff Thursday night.
