SEGUIN -- Tyler Grace Community finished its time at the Geronimo Navarro Tournament in Seguin with a 53-43 victory against La Vernia for the Silver Bracket title.
WINONA -- Chapel Hill will play for the WInona Tournament crown after downing Grand Saline and Rusk in second-day action.
Four Lady Bulldogs reached double figures in a 66-45 win against Grand Saline. That was enough to withstand a game-best 20 points from Brooklyn Bolin.
EUSTACE -- Bullard made quick work of Corsicana Mildred and Kerens as part of the first day of Eustace Tournament action.
The Lady Panthers opened their time at the event with a 65-21 victory against Mildred.
CARTHAGE -- Doubling up Carthage in the second quarter came in handy down the stretch in Tyler Grace Community's 46-41 win Tuesday.
The Lady Cougars (6-3) broke free of the Lady Dawgs (6-2) in the final minutes of the first half for a 16-8 win in that period and a 30-20 advantage at the break.
LONGVIEW -- April Walker and Mykaela Alfred turned in double-digit performances to help Chapel Hill of Class 4A defeat a larger school Pine Tree team, 41-45, Tuesday at the Pirate Center.
Walker scored a team-best 16 points. Alfred added another 15 points for the winning side.
GRAHAM -- The Tyler Grace Community Cougars committed a season-high six turnovers, and fell to Midland Christian, 49-28, in their TAPPS Division II quarterfinal Saturday evening.
Midland Christian (8-4), which has won 12 state championships since 1990, advanced to the semifinals where the Mustangs will meet Grapevine Faith Christian next week...
