PALESTINE -- The Mart Panthers put on clinic Saturday night in their Class 1A Division I Region III area-round playoff against West Sabine.
BRYAN -- The Lufkin Panthers advanced to the third round of the playoffs for the first time since 2005 on Saturday as Tyler Stubblefield threw seven touchdown passes to beat Pflugerville, 56-43, in a Class 5A Division II Region II area playoff.
ROYSE CITY -- The rest of Texas is starting to get a feel for the kind of players who come out of the District of Doom. Quinlan Ford definitely got the memo about Henderson's Patrick "Monster" Brown on Saturday.
VAN -- After a gridlocked first half, Grandview scored 21 unanswered points to start the second half to propel the Zebras to a 47-32 win against White Oak in Friday's Class 2A Division I Region III area playoff.
CONROE -- Ka'Darius Baker threw for 402 yards and five touchdowns and top-ranked Navasota continued its dominating run through the Class 3A Division II playoffs with a 59-14 victory against Jasper on Friday night at Buddy Moorhead Stadium.
ATHENS -- The Tatum Eagles capitalized on a barrage of Godley turnovers en route to a 41-8 victory Friday night in a Class 2A Division I Region III area playoff at Bruce Field.
BUFFALO -- Mikechell Potts scored four total touchdowns and Arp's offense dominated the ground game en route to a 53-28 win against Crawford on Friday night in a Class 2A Division II area round playoff matchup.
BECKVILLE -- Chavis Gregory scored four total touchdowns and Tenaha took advantage of four first-half turnovers by Overton to beat the Mustangs, 42-8, in their Class 1A Division II area round game Friday night at Beauchamp Stadium.
