ELKHART -- The No. 10 Elkhart Elks captured a share of the District 19-2A championship with a 7-0 shutout of Crockett on Thursday.

Hunter Parker earned the complete-game win on the mound for Elkhart (24-6, 10-2).

The Elks will face Dodd City at 6 p.m. Friday before beginning the playoffs next week against Hemphill.

Nacogdoches Central Heights Edges Bullard Brook Hill

BULLARD -- Alex Phillips tossed six solid innings and added the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning, leading No. 12 Nacogdoches Central Heights to a 2-1 win over Bullard Brook Hill on Thursday.

Phillips allowed one run on four hits and struck out eight to earn the win. Brady Clifton, who also had an RBI in Central Heights' two-run sixth, pitched a perfect seventh for the save.

Kendall Kerns went 2-for-3 and scored the lone run for Brook Hill. Quintin Pile pitched five shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out six, but received a no-decision.

Central Heights (20-5), co-champions of District 19-2A, will receive a first-round bye in the playoffs.
