Recruiting has picked up for Whitehouse senior offensive lineman Keagan Smith.

The 6-foot-1, 315-pound prospect has received an offer from Kilgore College and interest from multiple schools, including Central Arkansas, Stephen F. Austin State, and Hardin-Simmons.

Smith told ETSN.fm on Tuesday night that he'd be visiting KC on Wednesday and will soon visit SFA, which wants him as a walk-on for the time being.

Smith is a two-year varsity starter who also saw action in two games for Whitehouse as a sophomore. He was part of an offensive line that helped the Wildcats average 476.4 total yards per game, including 351.7 passing yards. Whitehouse started 9-0 and finished the 2012 season 10-2 with second-round playoff appearance.

Kilgore is a two-year junior college program that competes in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference. UCA and SFA are Division I FCS programs that play in the Southland Conference. Hardin-Simmons is a Division III school that competes in the American Southwest Conference.
