Wills Point Downs Tyler Grace Community In Woodmen Of The World Basketball Classic

WHITEHOUSE -- Wills Point beat out Tyler Grace Community, 62-46, Friday in Woodmen of the World Basketball Classic action at Whitehouse's home gym.

Wills Point was led by Jah Golden's 15 points. Hunter Sanford and Eric Johns were other top performers for the Tigers with 12 and eight points apiece.

Garrett Tauscher had a good night for the Cougars with 15 points. Johnny Spitzer rounded out Grace Community's double-digit scorers with 11 points. Adam McKinney chipped in an additional nine points in the loss.

The Cougars, which took on Lindale for a 62-43 loss earlier in the week, will continue on with a tough stretch of games against larger public schools. Grace Community will host John Tyler on Tuesday.
