MARSHALL -- Cameron Haller has the Marshall Mavericks on quite the roll.

Haller ran for five touchdowns and threw another to help send Marshall to a 56-28 win over Arkansas High on Friday night, and its first 3-0 start since 2008.

Haller carried the Mavs to victory in their final non-district game in style, rushing for 167 yards on 15 carries. He accounted for all four of Marshall's first-half touchdowns, which included a 40-yard touchdown pass to Trel Patton to give the Mavericks a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Arkansas High battled back, however, cutting Marshall's lead to 35-28 with 9:41 left in the game.

But Marshall followed with 21 unanswered points. Haller added two more touchdown runs and Chavis Mills, who rushed for 144 yards on 15 carries, punched it in from 1 yard out to secure the rout.

Marshall's final two touchdowns followed interceptions by Micahh Smith and Jalon Mitchell.
