HUNTINGTON -- Jack Morris and Tyler Musgrove combined for six RBIs to lead Carthage to a 13-1 five-inning win at Huntington on Monday.

Morris and Musgrove each had one triple and three RBIs to power Carthage, which improved to 23-5 overall and 9-2 in District 20-3A. The Bulldogs, who were ranked No. 9 in 3A in Monday's Txhighschoolbaseball.com poll, have won eight consecutive games and 14 of their last 15 contests.

William Rittenberry improved to 6-1 on the season with a five-inning complete game. He allowed no earned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts and no walks to lower his earned run average to 0.87.

JayDon Day was 3-for-4. Brody Colle tripled and Kolby Blissett doubled.

Carthage concludes the regular season Friday at Diboll.
