Carthage Softball Earns 5-1 Win Over Huntington

CARTHAGE — The Carthage Lady Dawgs earned a 5-1 win over Huntington, Friday in non-district softball action.

Carthage (15-4-2), ranked No. 15 in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 4A poll, was led offensively by Addison Blissett, who tripled and drove in three runs.

Teagan Baker went 1-for-2 with a double, Kaitlynn Earle doubled and scored a run, and Hope Kruebbe had a hit, scored a run, and stole a base.

Taylor Willis earned the pitching victory, allowing just a run on four hits with three strikeouts in seven innings.

Carthage returns to action next Thursday at Pittsburg in its non-district finale.
