Carthage Softball Gets Past Rusk In Extras

RUSK -- Taylor Willis earned an eight-inning complete game win in Carthage's 4-2 victory Tuesday at Rusk.

Carson Robertson led the way offensively for the Lady Dawgs. She hit a two-run homer and walked once in four plate appearances.

Addison Blissett, Kalli Cuff, Hope Kruebbe and Kimberlyn Worsham recorded hits as well for Carthage, ranked 16th in the Texas Girls Coaches Association's latest Class 4A poll.

The Lady Dawgs will host Tatum on Friday as the District 16-4A schedule continues while Rusk simultaneously moves on to visit Center.
