LUFKIN -- After the Crockett Bulldogs rolled to a 71-22 win in the regular season, the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs entered their postseason matchup seeking a bit of retribution. Instead it was more like a replay.

Case Robinson threw for 278 yards and a touchdown on 18-of-22 passing and ran for 78 more yards and another four scores as Crockett raced out to a 42-0 halftime lead on its way to a 49-24 win over Corrigan-Camden at John Outlaw Memorial Field at Abe Martin Stadium on Friday night.

Crockett (10-3) will face Franklin -- a 28-20 winner over Newton on Friday night -- in the Class 3A Division II state quarterfinals next week. Corrigan-Camden ended its season at 8-5.

An outmatched Corrigan-Camden team watched helplessly as Crockett rolled up 348 first-half yards then scored on a 43-yard A.J. Phillips fumble return on the last play of the second quarter.

That play was symbolic of a night when Corrigan-Camden never mounted any kind of serious threat despite having a pair of 100-yard rushers.

LaKendrick Moore ran for 180 yards on 28 carries and Fre'Darion Johnson ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries to lead Corrigan-Camden.

Crockett set the tone from the opening kickoff. On the third play of the game, Robinson hit Lucky Daniels for a 44-yard pass. That set up Robinsons own 7-yard run that made it 7-0 just 1:15 into the game.

After Corrigan-Camden's first drive ended on a turnover on downs, Robinson went back to work, driving Crockett down the field with his arm before sprinting in for an eight-yard run that made it 14-0.

On Crockett's next drive, Robinson drew Corrigan-Camden offsides then hurled a 75-yard bomb to Daniels, making it 21-0 late in the first quarter.

In the first quarter alone, Robinson was 6-of-8 passing for 192 yards and a touchdown to go along with two rushing touchdowns.

Corrigan-Camden's next drive ended when Daniels picked off a pass on fourth down. DeAnthony Epps followed with a 37-yard run on the next play and Robinson scored on a spectacular 31-yard touchdown run that made it 28-0. Robinson was caught on the play at the 10 but shook off two tackles to finish off the score.

Crockett had its most time-consuming drive of the first half, going 61 yards on 10 plays with Robinson plunging in from one yard out to make it 35-0 with 1:15 left in the half.

Rather than going into the half with the deficit, Corrigan-Camden tried to get on the board just before the half.

But with three seconds remaining, Ty Love was tackled for a huge loss and fumbled the ball. Phillips scooped it up and returned it 43 yards for a 42-0 lead.

In the first half, Robinson threw for 242 yards and a touchdown and a score and ran for 70 yards and four scores on seven carries. Meanwhile, Corrigan-Camden was held to 123 yards with 118 of those coming on the ground.

After stopping Corrigan-Camden on its first drive of the second half, the Crockett offense went to a methodical attack, going 10 plays on 75 yards with Phillips capping the march with a 23-yard score, upping the margin to 49-0 with 3:03 left in the third quarter.

Corrigan-Camden finally got on the board on the first play of the fourth quarter when Fre'Darion Johnson went up the middle untouched for 29 yards. LaKendrick Moore scored on a two-point conversion, making the score 49-8.

Corrigan-Camden then used its ground game to grind out another scoring, going 73 yards on 11 plays with Johnson scoring on a four-yard run. Moore ran in the two-point try once again to make it 49-16 with 4:14 left in the game.

Johnson added a two-yard touchdown in the final minute and Moore added another two-point conversion to make the final 49-24.
