Friday Basketball: Crockett Boys Take Out Central Pollok, 68-67

CROCKETT -- The Crockett Bulldogs eked by Central Pollok, 68-67 on Friday evening.

Allen Horace finished with a double double of 18 points and 13 rebounds while Allton Owens added 21 points. The victory improved Crockett's record to 2-0.

Crockett will next face New Waverly on Friday on the road.

Kaufman defeats Tatum, 33-30

TATUM -- The Tatum Lady Eagles fell to Kaufman on Friday night, 33-30.

Essence Allen finished with 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Ashton Brown added 13 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Tatum dropped to 7-4 with the loss and will next face Ore City on Dec. 11.

Neches blasts Alto, 70-50

NECHES -- Alto was no match for Neches, falling 70-50 on Friday night.

Marlon Warren led the Yellowjackets with 18 points in the loss, while Skylar Atkins and Kurrinsai Jackson added eight apiece.

Alto falls to 0-1 and will next face Shelbyville at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Panola College in Carthage.
