BULLARD -- Connor Mebane made plays on both sides of the ball to lead Bullard to a 38-7 blowout of Diboll in Friday night's game at Panther Stadium.

The Panthers' quarterback ran for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while picking off a pass on defense to spearhead the Bullard victory.

Bullard tailback Brentavian Henderson added two rushing touchdowns, while teammate Austin Skelton ran for one.

Bullard's Zach Eschberger had a big night on defense, picking off two passes from the secondary. Raive Sheppard had Diboll's only touchdown of the night on a one-yard run.

The win pushed Bullard to 2-1 on the season entering next Friday's trip to Huntington, which is Bullard's final non-district opponent before starting District 16-3A competition. Diboll (0-3) hosts Shepherd.
