ETSN.fm 2013 Week 1 Class A/Private Poll: Tenaha Takes Over at No. 1

Only a week into the season, the ETSN.fm weekly East Texas Class A/Private Poll has a new No. 1.

Tenaha, the preseason No. 2, took over the top spot following a 47-6 rout of Joaquin, which fell from fifth to ninth with the loss. Tenaha's win coupled with Alto's 36-35 loss to Elkhart resulted in the Tigers taking No. 1 ahead of Alto, the preseason top pick.

Alto fell to third behind West Sabine, which moved from third to second following a 27-2 victory against Beaumont Kelly.

Bullard Brook Hill retained the No. 4 spot thanks to a 21-18 win against Frankston, while Tyler Grace moved up a spot to No. 5 with a 46-33 win against San Augustine.

Timpson ascended two spots to No. 6 with its 55-7 blowout of Tyler All Saints. Harleton saw the biggest upward movement, going from 10th to No. 7 with a 36-25 win against West Rusk.

San Augustine's loss to Grace dropped the Wolves from seventh to eighth, while Joaquin's 41-point loss to Tenaha caused a four-spot fall to ninth for the Rams. Shelbyville jumped into the poll at No. 10 with a 61-7 rout of Mount Enterprise.

Overton, which lost 46-26 to Winona, fell out of the poll after holding the preseason No. 10 ranking.
