ETSN.fm Preseason Class 3A Poll: No. 7, Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs
It's hard to find a more consistent program anywhere in East Texas than the one head coach Seven Armstrong has built at Corrigan-Camden, so it should come as no surprise the Bulldogs find themselves ranked No. 7 in ETSN.fm's Preseason Class 3A poll.
Corrigan-Camden has reached the playoffs in all 12 seasons Armstrong has led the program, and the Bulldogs have made 17 consecutive postseason appearances overall.
The Bulldogs are coming off two of their best seasons in the Armstrong era. Corrigan-Camden followed up its 13-1 state quarterfinals finish in 2013 with a solid 10-2 mark a season ago.
Corrigan-Camden brings back five starters from 2014 on each side of the ball.
The offense will be led by standout running back Malyk Johnson, who's gone well over 1,000 rushing yards in each of the last two seasons. With an experienced offensive line paving the lanes, expect Johnson to have an all-state caliber campaign this fall.
On defense, Corrigan-Camden will be anchored by linebacker LaDarius Hamilton, who has received college attention from a few programs during the offseason. Hamilton (6-2, 220) currently has offers from Lamar, ULL, McNeese State, and Texas State.
