Friday Volleyball: Beckville Sweeps White Oak

WHITE OAK-- Beckville improved to 29-0 after a sweep of White Oak on Friday.

The Ladycats won by scores of 25-19, 25-11 and 25-21, respectively.

Riley Seegers led Beckville with 11 kills and four blocks. Hannah Humphries had eight kills and Payton Jones had seven.

The Ladycats have a match with Elysian Fields coming up on Tuesday at 4:30.

Winona sweeps Sabine

WINONA--Winona improved to 25-5 and 6-0 in district after a sweep of Sabine on Friday.

The Ladycats won their sets 15-5, 25-13 and 25-14. Winona will start the second round of district play Tuesday at Arp.

Carthage takes down Henderson

HENDERSON--Carthage earned a sweep of Henderson on Friday, defeating the Lady Lions by scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-14.

Matti Doffit led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 kills and two blocks, while Lexi Alexander and Kim Worsham combined for 29 assists in the win.

Carthage will next take on Tatum on Oct. 10.

Bullard defeats Gilmer

BOLLARD--Bullard took down Gilmer after winning sets by scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-10 on Friday.

Sara McKeethan had 11 kills, 10 digs and four blocks, while Ashlyn Meador finished with nine kills and three blocks.

Next up, Bullard hosts Kilgore at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Quitman improves to 7-0 in district play

QUITMAN--Quitman defeated Grand Saline on Friday by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-17.

Molly Tanner led with 10 digs to go along with six kills. Kaci Raley had 10 kills and three blocks.

This concludes the first round of district play. Quitman will host Scurry-Rosser at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Carlisle takes down Big Sandy

PRICE--It took five sets, but Carlisle took care of Big Sandy on Friday.

The Lady Indians won 25-23, 25-18 and 15-7 while falling 25-19 and 25-9.

Heather Craig amassed 28 kills in the victory while Aubrey Hart had 10 kills and four blocks.

Carlisle hosts Leveretts Chapel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
