GARY -- The Lady Bobcats got the best of Elysian Fields through five contested sets Friday, 12-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Leann Youngblood recorded a team-best 19 kills in the match and added two aces while saving six points on defense. 

Kristina Mayo scored two big blocks. Taylor Rodgers chipped in an ace and a block.

Gary will host Waskom on Tuesday. Elysian Fields next travels to Timpson.

 

Union Grove Bounces Back From Rough First Set

UNION GROVE -- Kennedi Northam helped Union Grove get out of a hole with 21 digs in a 15-25, 25-12, 28-26, 25-18 victory against Hughes Springs.

Peyton Blythe had a big match as well. She recorded a team-best nine kills and six assists in addition to 11 digs.

Kensley Echols scored 11 total points on six aces and five kills.

 

Ceci Deleon Sets Carlisle Record

PRICE -- Ceci Deleon recorded a school record 45 assists in Carlisle's 25-16, 26-28, 25-22, 25-18 home win against Harmony on Friday.

With Deleon on a hot streak, three Carlisle players reached double-digits in the kill department.

Macey Minnix led the team with 16 kills in addition to three blocks. Madison Martin scored on 13 kills and four blocks. Julie Smith rounded out the group with 13 kills and 25 digs on the defensive side of things.

Carlisle will be back in action today at 9 a.m. The team will take on Center in Winona Tournament bracket play.
