Elysian Fields’ Jade Ashalintubbi Commits to Northwestern State
One of East Texas' top senior offensive lineman has made his college decision.
Elysian Fields 2019 offensive tackle Jade Ashalintubbi committed to Northwestern State on Monday evening, according the Yellowjackets' coaching staff.
Ashalintubbi (6-6, 299) chose the Demons over other offers from Houston Baptist, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe, Stephen F. Austin, and Tulsa.
The Elysian Fields lineman just wrapped up his senior season, helping his team to a 6-5 record and berth in the Class 3A Division II playoffs.
Northwestern State is an FCS school that competes in the Southland Conference. The Demons were 5-6 overall and 4-5 in conference play in 2018.
Ashalintubbi's commitment is non-binding. He can make it official by signing his national letter of intent as early as Dec. 19.
