Friday Volleyball Roundup: Whitehouse Bests Lindale In Four + More

WHITEHOUSE -- Molly Harris dished out 38 assists to help Whitehouse to a 26-24, 25-19, 21-25, 25-19 win against Lindale in District 17-5A competition.

The win elevated Whitehouse to 18-14 overall and 2-1 in the district.

Sydney Malmstrom scored a team-best 12 kills in the victory. Kaitlyn Wood and Grace Hendricks followed with 11 kills each.

Whilehouse will host Nacogdoches on Tuesday while Lindale travels to Corsicana.

Rains Stays Undefeated In District

EMORY -- Rains swept Canton, 25-17, 25-17, 25-7, and moved to 3-0 in District 13-4A.

Charlotte Bradshaw scored a team-best 21 points on 19 kills and two blocks.

McKenna Hildebrant and Summer Nerkowski each scored 10 points in the match for the winning side.

Rains hosts Wills Point Tuesday and Canton also will be at home to face Brownsboro.

Quitman Sweeps Grand Saline

GRAND SALINE -- Kaci Raley had a huge night for Quitman in a 25-10, 25-18, 25-17 sweep of Grand Saline.

Raley put up 18 kills, four blocks and aced two serves while also saving 15 points on defense.

Cammie Hicks recorded 29 assists in the three-game victory.

Quitman will visit Scurry-Rosser on Tuesday. Scurry-Rosser's only district loss came to Quitman several weeks ago.

Grand Saline will travel Tuesday to Kemp.

Beckville Downs Ore City In Straight Sets Ahead Of Big Match

ORE CITY -- Beckville moved to 6-0 in District 16-4A with a 25-13, 25-15, 25-21 win at Ore City.

Riley Seegers scored a team-best 16 points in the match. She had 15 kills and one block.

Kinley Pepper recorded 38 assists.

Beckville will host White Oak on Tuesday. White Oak's only district loss thus far was to Beckville.

Carlisle Takes Down Big Sandy

PRICE -- Carlisle cruised to a 25-22, 25-17, 25-9 win at home against Big Sandy in non-district play.

Cheyenne Vannier recorded 25 assists and Haley Jordan led the way in scoring with 15 kills for the winning side.

Carlisle travels Tuesday to Leverett's Chapel for a District 20-2A match. Big Sandy will jump back into District 19-2A play and faces Union Grove at home.
