Sulphur Springs junior Willy Ivery is a playmaker on the football field, and it appears schools across -- and outside -- the region have taken notice.

Ivery said Tuesday night on Twitter that he has five junior day invitations: Colorado, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, and Tulsa.

Ivery had a huge junior season for Sulphur Springs, which finished 8-3 with a District 14-4A championship and first-round playoff appearance.

The 5-foot-8, 175-pound speedster posted big numbers on the ground and catching the ball. He snagged 54 passes for 674 yards and six touchdowns while rushing 86 times for 914 yards and 22 touchdowns. He averaged 10.6 yards per carry and also returned one kickoff for a touchdown.

Ivery was recently named the ETSN.fm Football Super Team Second Team at the athlete position.
