GLADEWATER -- Nick Canaguier passed for four touchdowns, and Gladewater's opportunistic defense led to a couple of early scores in the eighth-ranked Bears' 54-14 rout of Spring Hill on Friday night.

Canaguier had first-half scoring tosses of 70, 25 and 69 yards to three different receivers -- Cameron Calloway, Caleb Williams and Blake Guthrie, respectively. He added a 1-yard scoring toss in the second half and finished with 267 yards passing on 11-of-14 completions.

Gladewater senior defensive tackle and Texas A&M commit Daylon Mack returned an interception 30 yards to set up a touchdown, and Jaz Tyiska returned a fumble for a score as the Bears (8-1, 4-0 in District 6-4A Division II) built a 40-0 halftime lead.

Sophomore running back Darnell McKnight rushed for a two touchdowns, including a 61-yarder in the second half that capped Gladewater's scoring for the night.

Gladewater concludes the regular season at Center, while Spring Hill (2-7, 1-3) hosts Atlanta next Friday night.
