MOUNT PLEASANT -- Roger McCuller scored two touchdowns and Lance Hardman added another to lead Hallsville to a 24-7 win over Mount Pleasant on Friday night.

The win was the first District 15-5A victory for Hallsville (3-3, 1-2), while it was the first league loss for Mount Pleasant (3-3, 2-1).

Hardman finished the game with 173 yards on 26 carries.

Mount Pleasant running back led the Tigers with 26 carries for 156 yards and a touchdown, which was from 80 yards out and with the Tigers down 24-0. Otherwise the Bobcats defense held the Tigers' star back in check, a week after he rushed for more than 400 yards against Sulphur Springs.
