WINONA -- Mykaela Alfred, Princess Suell and Kyia Moore had big games in Chapel Hill's 68-38 win against Winona in the Winona Tournament.

The victory helped Chapel Hill clinch third place in the event.

Alfred led the way for the Lady Bulldogs (12-2) with 18 points. Suell and Moore followed with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Randaysha Hanson scored a team-best nine points for the Lady Wildcats (7-2).

Chapel Hill closed its time in Winona with another high-profile win against Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill. Both Winona and Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill are ranked in various Class 3A polls.

The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action Tuesday at home against Harmony.

 

Winona Falls To Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill

WINONA -- Winona was handed a second loss Saturday.

Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill edged the Lady Wildcats, 40-38, in the Winona Tournament.

Despite the loss, however, Nichole Garrett and Mallori Shacklett turned in double-digit performances. They scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Winona will host Troup on Tuesday.

 

Tyler Grace Rolls Coram Deo

FRISCO -- Tyler Grace Community dominated Flower Mound Coram Deo early and closed its time at Frisco Legacy Christian Academy's tournament with a 52-27 victory.

The Lady Cougars led 22-0 after the first quarter.

Addie Daughtry scored 11 points and was pulled fairly early. Lindsey Hudgins put up 10 points in the victory.

Daughtry was awarded the tournament's most valuable player award after the game. Grace's Parker Daughtry and Jordan Tauscher were named to the all-tournament team.

The Lady Cougars (10-2) will host Mount Enterprise at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Beckville Downs Mount Enterprise

MT. ENTERPRISE -- Beckville secured third place in Mount Enterprise's tournament with a 40-36 victory against the host team.

Madi Mize scored 12 points and also recorded a team-best four steals for the Lady Bearcats, which moved to a 5-1 record.

Beckville will travel to Gary on Tuesday for a game at 6 p.m.
