Quarterback Christopher Wilhelmi completed 13 of 17 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense in meaningful time. The Cougars owned a 35-0 lead at halftime thanks in part to his strikes.

GREENVILLE -- Marshall reached the .500 mark for the first time this season and elevated its District 16-5A record to .750 after defeating Greenville, 42-14, Friday at T.A. "Cotton" Ford Stadium. The Mavericks rode a balanced rushing attack to the win. Of its 352 total yards of offense, 323 came through the team's running facet.

TEXARKANA -- Texas High scored 27 unanswered points and cruised past Mount Pleasant by a final score of 27-7 Friday inside Tiger Stadium at Grimm Park. Mount Pleasant got on the board first, and owned a 7-3 lead after the first quarter, thanks to a 10-yard run by Je'kerris Lee less than halfway through the period. But it was all Texas High after that.
