TYLER -- It didn't take long for the difference between Tyler Lee and Rockwall to make itself known Tuesday evening.

After the Lady Raiders scored the first point of the first set, the Lady Yellowjackets scored the next six. Although Tyler Lee eventually battled back to make the set somewhat competitive, it wasn't enough. It lost that set as well as the ensuing two to fall in a 3-0 sweep by scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-18.

Rockwall's Jaden Dougal and Avery McCrillis had a connection all game. Douglas assisted McCrillis on 11 kills, including several in the opening set.

Tyler Lee tied the match at 11 after Anna Stone assisted a Rhiannon Heldman kill, forcing Rock wall to take a timeout. The Lady Yellowjackets responded with a 10-2 run to go up 21-13 and eventually take the set.

Although the following two sets had closer final scores, they failed to match the intensity of the first. Rockwall got off to hot starts in both sets and led the majority of both matches.

Tyler Lee scored most of its points off of Lady Yellowjackets miscues, as Heldman was the leader in kills with six. Je'Myiia Johnson added two more and Stone led the team in assists.

Rockwall was especially dominant in the third set, going up 13-5 before Tyler Lee rallied to come within four near the end of the set.

Tyler Lee fell to 21-14 and 3-4 in District 11-6A with the loss. The Lady Raiders will look to redeem themselves at 6:30 p.m. Friday when they travel to Mesquite to take on North Mesquite.
