Whitehouse Captures 16-4A Softball Title With 7-3 Win Over Corsicana

WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse LadyCats captured the District 16-4A championship after a 7-3 win over Corsicana in the regular-season finale Friday night.

Micah Gray and Brooklyn Brady both homered in Whitehouse's three-run third inning. Autumn Crymes and Brittany Taylor also had RBIs, while Haley Galloway and Maggie Beard both scored in Whitehouse's three-run sixth.

Beard earned the victory on the mound, improving her record to 18-3 overall and 8-1 in district play.

Whitehouse, which captured the program's first-ever district title, will face Red Oak next week in the first round of the Class 4A Region II playoffs.
