ALTO -- A year after falling in a shootout road loss to San Augustine, Alto got revenge in a big way Friday night.

The Yellow Jackets ran for more than 400 yards and dominated in all facets en route to an 84-19 home victory to clinch a District 10-A Division I playoff berth.

Senior running back Jacolby Whitaker ran 19 times for 186 yards and a season-high four touchdowns, while senior quarterback Zac Sturns carried 13 times for 141 yards and three scores.

That potent rushing duo led a ground attack that accumulated 414 yards on 42 attempts. Sturns also completed 4 of 7 passes to four different receivers for 78 yards.

The win pushed Alto to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in district entering the Jackets' regular-season finale at Shelbyville. San Augustine fell to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in district as the Wolves host Cushing on Friday night. San Augustine clinches a playoff spot with a victory.
