Hughes Springs’ Dylan Moore A First-Team Selection On TSWA Class 2A All-State Squad

BRYAN -- Hughes Springs pitcher Dylan Moore, who's been dominating opposing hitters for the previous four seasons, received a big honor Monday when he was selected to the first team of the Texas Sports Writers Association/Collin Street Bakery Class 2A All-State Baseball Team.

Moore, a ULL signee who finished his career with a 46-3 record, was one of two East Texans voted to the first team. He joined Edgewood senior outfielder Justin Bundy.

Sunnyvale's Jake Wilcox was named player of the year. He was 10-3 pitching with a 1.19 earned run average with 152 strikeouts for the state champs. The Texas-Arlington signee also played outfield, hitting .319 with 23 runs batted in.
