Josiah Johnson had a big night on the ground and the Lindale defense forced five Chapel Hill turnovers in the Eagles' 31-14 win over the defending Class 3A Division I state champion Bulldogs on Friday night at Eagle Stadium.

Johnson rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries for Lindale, which ended Chapel Hill's winning streak at 15 games dating back to the beginning of last season.

Before Friday night, Chapel Hill's last loss was the 2010 Class 3A Division I title game against Henderson.

Trey Acy added a 10-yard touchdown run for Lindale (1-0).

Lindale snatched four Chapel Hill fumbles and picked off quarterback Andrew Black, who was making his Bulldogs debut after moving from Jacksonville in the offseason. Black threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Gabriel Robinson in the loss.
