LONGVIEW -- Tylan Miller rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores and the Lobos' defense notched three touchdowns as Longview dominated Mount Pleasant, 63-6, on Friday night at Lobo Stadium.

Longview improved to 5-0 in District 15-5A and sealed a postseason spot for the 14th consecutive season with the win.

Dezmond Chumley finished with 126 yards and two touchdown tosses for Longview, which built a 49-6 lead at halftime.

Shaun Lloyd and Jakoryian Walker each scored on 50-yard interception returns and Ameron Dean returned a punt 55 yards to paydirt. The Lobos' defense held Mount Pleasant (0-8, 0-5) to three rushing yards.

Chumley hit Jon Sorey for a 54-yard touchdown pass and followed with a 7-yard strike to Antonio Carter to give Longview a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, which was capped with Lloyd’s interception return.

Miller broke a 52-yard scamper to push that lead to 28-0.

Mount Pleasant got on the board on a 75-yard pass from Joseph Griffin to Jaquille Rodgers, who finished with three catches for 112 yards.

Longview responded quickly with Miller’s second score of the night, this one from 18 yards away.

Walker pulled down his third pick of the season, racing 50 yards for a score and Dean took Mount Pleasant’s ensuing punt 55 yards to give Longview the commanding lead at the break.

Traveion Nelson and D’Crayvan Polk added second-half touchdowns for Longview, which travels to Sulphur Springs next week. Mount Pleasant hosts Marshall.
