Palestine Westwood AD/Head Football Coach Roger Mays Reassigned

Palestine Westwood has reassigned athletic director and head football coach Roger Mays, according to a report by the Palestine Herald-Press.

Mays spent three full seasons as the head coach at Westwood, taking over for Bryan Price for the final four games of 2010's 0-10 season. The Panthers were 7-27 with Mays as head coach, including a 1-9 finish this season.

Westwood has missed the playoffs five consecutive years after earning back-to-back postseason berths in 2007 and 2008. Prior to 2007, the Panthers' last postseason appearance occurred in 1992.
