Pine Tree Lady Pirates Remain Unbeaten in 32-4A With 3-1 Defeat of Henderson
LONGVIEW — The Pine Tree Lady Pirates remained unbeaten in District 32-4A with a 3-1 win over Henderson on Friday at Pirate Stadium.
Pine Tree (13-3-1, 7-0) scored twice in the final five minutes of the opening half, both courtesy of Lilly Cabrera. The first goal was assisted by Ana Solis, and less than a minute later, Lorena Gonzalez’s pass connected with Cabera, who put Pine Tree up 2-0 at halftime.
Henderson cut the deficit to 2-1 on a free kick from about 25 yards out eight minutes into the second half. But with eight minutes remaining in the contest, Solis found the back of the net off an assist from Victoria Flores.
Pine Tree is back in action against Kilgore at home next Friday.
